How exactly does the Google Calendar two-way sync work?
A real-time, two-way connection is established between Managelify Calendar and Google Calendar. When you create a meeting in Managelify it lands in Google Calendar within seconds; when you add an event in Google, Managelify catches it and updates your availability. It's not polling — Google's official webhook + push notification infrastructure is used, so the lag is practically zero.
Which permissions does Managelify ask for during OAuth?
Only 'view and write' access for calendar (calendar.events). We never touch your password, your emails or your Drive/Docs. The Google OAuth 2.0 standard is used and all connections are encrypted. You choose which calendars are synced; you can disconnect from Settings at any time and all tokens are wiped immediately. KVKK and GDPR compliant.
Can I connect more than one Google account?
Yes. You can connect both your company Google Workspace account and your personal Gmail account; for each account you choose separately which calendar(s) to sync. You can mark one as 'primary' (meetings are written here) and another as 'availability only' (events read but not written). Availability checks merge them all so no conflicts remain.
Are my personal events visible to the team or to customers?
No. You can share your personal calendar in 'busy only' mode — the event title, description and attendees are not visible; only the fact that you're 'busy' at that time is shared. When a customer opens your availability link they see only the slots you're truly free, never what you're busy with. You stay in full control of privacy.
Do my task deadlines drop onto the calendar automatically?
Yes. When you create a task with a deadline and duration, Managelify Calendar drops a 'block' automatically and it reflects to your Google Calendar. Optionally that block becomes 'focus time' — your availability shows as busy so the team doesn't book over it. Mana AI sees these blocks and uses them for optimal scheduling suggestions.
What happens on a conflict?
When you plan a new meeting, Managelify scans every connected calendar (both Managelify and Google); conflicts are flagged in red with a 'you're not free at this time' warning. Customers booking through your availability link can't see slots that are already taken. Mana AI also produces load warnings like 'you have 18 meetings this week — should I move retro from Friday to Monday?'
How are time zones handled?
Fully automatic. You enter the event in your own time zone; Managelify converts it to each attendee's local time zone and shows the correct time on both Managelify Calendar and Google Calendar. Critical for remote teams: a 14:00 meeting in Istanbul shows correctly as 12:00 on a Berlin teammate's calendar.
